Been a good week with some productivity. Planting, fence install and painting. Built a raised bed. Trying to keep on top of the dreaded 3 pernicious weeds! Getting the water company to finally deal with the blocked sewage drain!
Tomatoes growing fast and courgettes too. Ordered more plants, eek yeah I know, more plants to be planted. Without further ado here’s my Six on Saturday.

1) Panoramic view of the border.
Looking a little better now the plants are growing well. Still have that bottom end of the garden to sort out!

2) Pansy newly planted in large saucer shape planter that grew spring bulbs earlier this year.

3) Heuchera ‘Rio’.
Competing for space but seems happy and flowering too, amongst the fleshy leaves of the now long gone daffs.

4) Clematis ‘Zara’

5) Clematis ‘Ooh La La’
The original plant died off, there was no show at all from where planted in the garden last year. On a chance I contacted the Guernsey grower and they agreed to send a replacement and this is the result. Looking good and I have put it in a container for now. Grows only a metre or so. Also means I can put it wherever I like too.

6) Raised ‘bed’
This I did last weekend, well in a few hours in fact. I had the remnants of an old wooden bed frame and have use the footer and header from a bed to make this raised bed along with some addition from feather-edge boards to finish off where there’s not enough of the bed frame. Works a treat. The intention is to make it a little higher still when I have the wood to spare.
