I’ve not been able to get in the garden to do anything. This is not just because of the weather but personal matters that keeps us inside. All being well, I’ll get back to Six on Saturday soon.
Meanwhile, the garden grows and with it comes more weeds, an ever growing lawn. The water butt is still on its side after it was put upright at the side of the shed then the high winds a few weeks ago blew it down.
I’ve not bought any plants this year. However, my current goal is to look out for Rosa shrubs that have good flowers and orange flowers or near as possible. I’ve looked at Dame Judi Dench, Lady of Shallot, Remember Me and Jump for Joy. The last of those isn’t available in the UK.
Updates to follow……
I’m on the look out for an orange rose too. I’m leaning towards a patio variety for space reasons. The issue I’m having is findind one that doesn’t change to a very non-orange when the flower fades.

Yes I think that is what my conclusion is too. I was looking at a rose I already have in a pot in the garden. This particular Rose looks nice faint orange though it does tend to go to a very pale and washed out, I don’t know the name of this particular one, I have had it many years so I can’t discount it from my search. Also my problem is that when I find one I really like and looks perfect it’s not available as a pot plant although is going to be available as bare root later on in the year. Oh well the search continues. If you come across any possible orange roses and I’d like to know good luck with your search.
